The Promedica Health and Wellness Center in Sylvania, Ohio is an all-encompassing medical facility. There are approximately 130 physicians, including primary care physicians, specialists and subspecialists under one roof. The three story, 230,000 square foot facility houses a pharmacy, lab and medical imaging facilities, pediatric, ear nose and throat, women’s health, optical, digestive, bariatric and endoscopy centers as well as an urgent care center.

OCP Contractors completed two portions of work at this facility including the exterior framing and related drywall and insulation work and also all of the interior package including framing, drywall, insulation, acoustical, tape and finish and paint.

OCP brought the required experience, skill and innovation to accomplish the demands of this project with ease. GPS Total Station was used for both interior and exterior layouts. The exterior framing required exact precision due to the specifications of the terra cotta panels. OCP’s work was tested with a surveyor’s digital scanner before the panels were installed. OCP’s knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and practice of Lean construction habits allowed us to collaborate smoothly with other trades especially with the large atrium that might have otherwise caused construction chaos. Material stocking in the evening hours and on weekends allowed for uninterrupted workflow to remain on schedule. For the construction of office areas, OCP prefabricated as much material as possible in a work area on site but away from actual construction. The use of milled drywall allowed many of the soffits and columns to be cut and shaped in the work area, transported and easily installed without much tape and finish work required.

Quality in craftsmanship, performance, and innovation were all displayed throughout the construction of this project and OCP is proud to use it as a showcase of our efforts.
