OCP specializes in a light gauge steel framing solution for the exterior shell package of a structure. These light gauge framing members are structurally sound and provide an alternative solution to typical block and plank construction. OCP offers panelized load bearing walls, flooring systems, and roof assemblies that range from economical to luxury. These systems are based off of the architectural intent and are typically built for structures between 4-12 stories. Fabricated off-site and shipped for a "just in time" arrival, each shipment includes the flooring system components.
OCP and the panelize system provide an accelerated schedule, and a superior building structure. OCP is able to construct the building faster, which in turn encloses the building quicker, allowing for interior fit-out to begin earlier. Ultimately, the owner can have the space sooner.
Another benefit OCP can offer is a reduction in the size of the lay-down area. The area where the wall panel trucks can pull-in, turn around, and drop off the trailer needs only be 20’x30’ because the only materials staged are the decking and joists of the flooring system. The moment the panel trucks arrive on site, the crane offloads the panels in sequence and sets the them directly into their place on the structure. The unloaded truck then departs, and a fresh truck immediately assumes the unloading position, allowing for continuous wall panel construction without the need for extensive material storage space. The construction site requires a crane exclusive to the OCP process for the entire project duration.
Furthermore, less man power is required on the job site with OCP projects. The panels are fabricated in the panel shop, opposed to the job site. When the panels arrive on site, only 4 initial workers are needed to set the panels in place. A second crew is responsible for setting the floor joists and decking.
OCP can help the owner by reducing the overall weight of the building to less than half the weight of our competition. We will not only be able to reduce the weight of the building members, but also reduce the foot print of the building foundation as well.
