OCP’s Employees of Choice are individuals who exemplify the qualities and characteristics that have made our 50 years of success possible. Employees of Choice are employees in the field and office who lead by action to advance safety, productivity, and innovation on projects. Additionally, these employees are consistent, dependable, and contribute for the betterment of the team. Thanks to the hard work of these individuals, OCP has proudly become the interior Contractor of Choice.

Wayne Clelland

  • Position: Drywall Finisher Foreman
  • Industry Tenure: 30 Years
  • Length of Employment with OCP: 14 Years

“Wayne started at OCP as a drywall finisher in the early years of our operations in Cleveland, back in 2005. He brought with him the skills and experience to successfully run the taping crews on our largest and most difficult jobs including the Hilton Cleveland Downtown Hotel, VA Cares Tower, South Park Mall, and many others. Wayne’s dedication to his work is top notch, and always apparent in the quality of work produced on his projects.” - Bill Giet, Cleveland Superintendent

  • Where is your favorite place to vacation?
  • Any place south and warm. We go to South Carolina and Florida a lot. We go down there for bike week. We like to ride.
  • What hobbies do you have outside of work?
  • Besides riding, we like to camp and vacation, stuff like that. Anything outdoors.
  • What is your favorite project you have worked on?
  • South Park Mall. It was nice and close, and we worked there for a while. I did the drywall finishing on that project.

Mike Graham

  • Position: Drywall Finisher/Painter
  • Industry Tenure: 23 Years
  • Length of Employment with OCP: 6 Years

  • What is your favorite aspect of your job?
  • I like building things and putting them together. I’ve always been into construction. I enjoy making things all come together.
  • You have been nominated for employee of the month. What do you have to say about that?
  • I’m just doing my job. I just try to help out as best I can. I believe I’m a good, hard worker. And I’m really concerned about producing a quality job.
  • What do you value most about OCP?
  • The way that they treat their employees. They take care of everyone pretty well around here. Everyone is friendly. It’s a nice place to work.

Nick is consistently looking for opportunities to improve in safety, quality, productivity, and innovation. Nick is STSC trained and visited the Carpenter’s Training Center in Vegas for the leadership 300 Hitter & 212 classes. We are fortunate to have an experienced carpenter like Nick leading our crews.” - Jay Waltz, General Superintendent

  • What is your favorite aspect of your job?
  • Being able to see a building built from start to finish.
  • What hobbies do you have outside of work?
  • Reffing football games, hunting, and fishing.

  • The Creek.

  • Be prepared to work hard.
