Favorite aspect of your job?
I enjoy the fact that we are not micromanaged on the job site. Every day the foreman goes over production goals and I understand exactly what is expected from me. I also enjoy how issues are addressed on the worksite. Everyone gets an opportunity to be part of the resolution.
What brought you to the construction industry and what made you stay?
I was doing residential work at a young age. I was in the union in Indiana and decided to join the local union when I relocated.
What will you tell your peer/coworker about your key to success?
Perseverance and self-gratitude. Being able to look at what’s been accomplished for the day is satisfying. I enjoy showing my family projects that I have worked on as we drive by.
