Where is your favorite place in the world?

The United States. There are a lot of opportunities, more than every other place. I’m from Mexico. I lived in Mexico until I was 17, that’s when I came over here. And then I stayed here, and love it.

What do you value most about OCP?

It’s a good company. Everything is on time. Your paycheck is on time. There’s always work. And there are no problems.

What hobbies do you have outside of work?

As soon as I get out of work I go spend time with my family. We like to go fishing, hunting, and just enjoy my time with each other.

Who inspires you?

My family. That is why I will always do this. I have three boys and one girl.

What is one thing that you want to learn in the next year with OCP?

Well, there are a lot of things that I would like to learn, but if I get the opportunity I’d like to do different jobs on the job sites like framing walls. I enjoy working with everyone. And just want to say hi to everyone else!

What brought you to construction industry and what made you stay?

Construction was an easy way into a career path, and my family was in construction. OCP treated me very well so it was not hard to stay. It was an easier way into a career, instead of putting my head down and going to college. I was also inspired by my family being in the construction industry.

What hobbies do you have outside the work?

I do a lot of stuff with the family. We do a lot of adventure stuff and let’s see …I coach my daughter’s softball team and I also still race my dirt bike. As I get older I still race it quite often.

What hobbies do you have outside of work?

Me and my wife love riding the Harley on the weekend, going on runs, we do a lot of bicycling and walking the dogs, kayaking, we’re just outdoors people. We try to get some wind in our ears, and enjoy Mother Nature.

What advice would you give a new employee?

The best advice I could give is that you’re not gonna find a better company that is willing to go the extra mile for their employees in regards to safety, good job ethics, good folks to work with, and a good family environment. I have nothing but good things to say about OCP since I’ve started working for them.
