Over 250 OCP team members and their families celebrated summer with a picnic at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium/Zoombezi Bay Waterpark on Sat., July 27th. The event was an excellent opportunity to relax and enjoy the sunshine while meeting each other's families.

At the zoo, employees explored permanent exhibits including the Heart of Africa, Asia Quest, Congo Expedition, Australia and the Islands, and North America. Exotic animals like the Tasmanian Devil, African Leopards, Asian elephants, kangaroos, giraffes, koalas, gorillas, lions, Dromedary camels, Komodo Dragon, Mexican wolf, American bison and many more can be found at this nationally renowned zoo.

The aquarium showcases Crownose stingrays, Florida manatees, Bonnethead sharks, along with thousands of fish and water creatures.

Opposite of the zoo and aquarium, employees spent the remainder of the day enjoying the water and the 90-degree weather on 22.7 acres of Zoombezi Bay waterpark. The park includes 2 lazy rivers, 17 water slides, a wave pool, 2 kiddie areas, and lots of areas to lounge.

In addition to the annual employee family day, OCP Columbus holds other events throughout the year to celebrate with the team including a field party in December.
