The OCP Toledo office celebrated women in construction, to highlight women as a visible component of the construction industry and to empower them personally and professionally.
In observation of Women in Construction Week, we invited the women from the field and office for a luncheon and panel. The goal was to learn more about their work in the field and for them to have the opportunity to provide direct feedback on their experience on the job sites. The luncheon was also a time to celebrate their hard work and dedication.
The team members emphasized that they would like to continue seeing leadership opportunities for women and recruitment through their trades organizations.
Women in Construction week is about empowering our current female workforce, opening the doors for the future women of construction, and diversifying our workforce to increase our labor pool and advance the industry as a whole.
