The construction of this new building for The Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Kent State University presented unique challenges, showcasing the complexities of modern construction and innovative design. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to be a world-class educational environment, focusing on sustainability and cutting-edge learning spaces. As a LEED-accredited building, the project required the use of sustainable materials, including perforated Gypsum Panels and StoTHERM ci Mineral EIFS, both of which demanded precise installation and advanced techniques.

One of the project's standout features is the integration of sound-absorbing materials to enhance the building's acoustic performance. GypSorb Perforated Gypsum panels were installed across various ceiling heights, requiring meticulous alignment to maintain a consistent visual pattern. The panels, along with specialty products like K13 and Mullion Mates, significantly reduced noise, creating a quiet and conducive learning environment.

Two key architectural features, the Trading Lab and the Global Forum, exemplify the building's innovative design. The Trading Lab is a glass-enclosed, 360-degree classroom designed to immerse students in financial markets, while the Global Forum, with its radius soffit drop, creates an inclusive and interactive learning space. These features, along with OCP's skilled craftsmanship and advanced construction methods, contribute to making this business school a leading educational facility.
