“We are in the midst of building a fast-paced corporate renovation with an owner who expects perfection and the highest regard for safety. The hours are out of the normal for most trades being at 5 PM and running until 3:30 AM, so finding the right fit for this role has been challenging. However, OCP found the recipe for success! OCP has consistently been the best trade on site and are very adaptive to the needs of the project as well as the owner who makes adjustments on a moment’s notice. The owner, on more than one occasion, has stated to me, We would not be where we are at without the hard work and dedication of Jason Johnson and the rest of the OCP team. From a managerial standpoint, I appreciate that OCP can perform consistently, safely and effectively without mass oversight from my team. Thanks to OCP for another job well done!”

- Doug Hess, Project Manager, Gilbane Building Company

Owens Corning is a global leader in insulation, roofing, and fiberglass composite materials. The organization has been on the Fortune 500 list for 65 consecutive years and operates in 33 countries. Dedicated to providing insulation products that conserve energy and improve acoustics, fire resistance, and air quality the company understands the critical importance of construction materials and their installation.

The existing world headquarters was originally built 15 years ago and was beginning to look outdated in the modern workplace. The organization sought a leader in single source interior commercial painting services and specialty applications. OCP has over half a century of experience in vinyl wall covering installation, high-end prep, brush painting, spray painting, decorative faux finishes, multi-color painting, staining, and wood graining.

The project had unique challenges, including 10 separate project phases and unique working hours from 5 PM to 3:30 AM. To ensure on-time completion, OCP placed a great emphasis on thorough scheduling and material coordination to ensure a productive, efficient workflow. Even with dramatic project changes, the team was able to stay on schedule. Additionally, OCP’s experienced skilled trades team was able to successfully install unique architectural features, like felt wall covering to provide a premiere soft and luxurious tactile experience.

The new headquarters is expected to be complete in December of 2019.
